I am now working a few days when I want to in Labor and Delivery. It is fun now that I don't have all responsibilities. I tell the other nurses I work with that this is part of my social network. I have learned over the last 5 years or so that life should be lived!! As long as we can get around and travel we need to have all the fun we can. Our school years were fun for the most part. Then we got serious about life, work and children. Those times were not all peaches and cream for many of us. Soooo Now we are free of most of that "stuff"
That is my philosophy these days.
I love living in Georgia, have wonderful friends, lots of activities to choose from daily and a smile is on my face mostly all the time. I still have my horse, sold the other 4 in Tennessee when I sold my horse farm. Having a horse now is great, except for the board bill. I still ride him, but believe me with more caution as at our age we don't bounce off the ground quite as easily!
This profile is for you ARNY, as you bugged me constantly to fill one out!!
I do appreciate all the hard work everyone has put into this web site! I enjoy keeping up with things. I was visiting my Dad this past month and I made the mistake of showing him this web site. He asked me to check with the class of 1939, really?? I asked him since when did they get so computer savey? Besides most are gone now, which I didn't say. He is 95 years old!! I filled out the information for him on Traips web site with my email address and got one, ONE response! Wow, 1939.
I am done with this now Arny, so see you all soon I hope and will continue doing what I now do best. HAVING FUN and enjoying life.

I am also saddened by Bob's passing. I know we all will see more names as time goes on. I thought we would live forever, or that was my thought as we graduated. Bob was always nice, always there for his friends.

Dennis was quite, but was always smiling. It's true that as a class we knew everyone and we have been very fortunate to stay in touch over the years. It saddens me that we are getting older. I know that passing away is the progression of life. But with that being said, it doesn't get easier. I am thank for you all.

I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was a very sweet girl and I enjoyed knowing her.

Carolyn and I go way back to grammer school. We would play together on Saturdays and torment Marilyn. Carolyn’s father and my grandfather worked together as janitors at Traip so that was another playground for the two of us. She laughed and smiled then. Everyone has mentioned her smile and laughter, it was infectious and always lifted spirits. Her heart was as big as her smile. I will hold dear the last phone call I got from her as it too was full of laughter. She was the best.
